On October 28, the Final Plenary Session was held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University's Cultural Center. The moderators of all sections, symposia, round tables, and master classes of the "Globalistics-2015" Congress presented reports on the work accomplished and outlined key ideas and initiatives for further fruitful cooperation.

The 2015 Congress is unique in its format: it is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the UN and the year of Russia's BRICS presidency. Many participants noted the comprehensiveness and aptness of the chosen Congress theme – "Global Governance and Diplomacy in an Unstable World" – whose relevance undoubtedly fueled the interest of participants, guests, and all those who followed the events across the Congress venues.

The Final Plenary Session commenced with an address to the Congress participants by UN Deputy Secretary-General Cristina Gallach, in which she called Russia, one of the founders of the UN, a key partner and donor to international development projects.

The central event of the Plenary Session was the awarding of the academician badge and the conferral of honorary membership in the international public organization "Academy of Global Studies" to a number of distinguished scientists. Among them were Arkady Dmitrievich Ursul, founder of the "Noosphere Academy"; Askar Akayevich Akaev, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Yuri Vladimirovich Yakovets, a leading authority in global studies; and Joseph Mifsud, Rector of the London Academy of Diplomacy. The awards were presented and the new academicians were congratulated by the Deputy Chairman of the Congress Presidium, Dean of the Faculty of Global Studies, Professor Ilya Vyacheslavovich Ilyin.

The section moderators and members of the Presidium highlighted two initiatives proposed during the Congress. In continuation of cooperation with the United Nations, it is proposed to establish a UN Museum in the city of Yalta in southern Crimea, where one could study the milestones of the organization's history and see documents confirming its outstanding role in maintaining global security and stability. The second important initiative came from participants of the section "Global Education and Universities: Modern Trends and a Look into the Future," who proposed forming an Association of Scientific and Educational Centers of the BRICS countries and creating an internal educational ranking for the association. The Congress vividly demonstrated achievements in popularizing global studies, bringing together under its umbrella over 500 participants from 50 countries, including renowned Russian and foreign scientists, as well as young researchers from among students and postgraduates of Lomonosov Moscow State University and MGIMO University.

Globalistics is a remarkable interweaving of threads drawn from various scientific disciplines, which, when woven together, form something extraordinary. "We are creating something extremely important, we are focused on global development in a positive key!" – these inspiring words were spoken by Congress participants, who are already eagerly anticipating the V Congress.
