CONGRESS "GLOBALISTICS-2025"
The VIII International Scientific Congress "Globalistics" will be held on October 10-25, 2025. The Congress is dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the 220th anniversary of the Moscow Society of Naturalists, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the founding of the United Nations and UNESCO. The Congress is traditionally held at Lomonosov Moscow State University and brings together many major international scientific platforms under the general theme: "The UN and global transformations of international relations: multipolarity, sustainability and security."
The Congresses “Globalistics” were initiated by the Faculty of Global Processes in 2009. Since then, the Congress has become a unique scientific forum for researchers of global processes that has no analogues in the world. Over the years, the Congresses “Globalistics” have served as a platform for presenting breakthrough scientific results, reports for BRICS summits, forming associations and establishing international cooperation.
The “Globalistics – 2025” Congress aims to unite the efforts of global academic and expert-analytical community representatives in seeking solutions to global challenges of today’s world.
Scientists, government officials and public figures whose professional interests relate to global issues are invited to participate in the Congress.
Following the work of the “Globalistics – 2025” Congress, a resolution will be adopted, reflecting on the current state of the emerging multipolar world order, forecasts for global development and a message to the global community. The Congress materials will be published as a separate edition. The VIII International Scientific Congress “Globalistics” will be held both in-person and online.

Promoting the Biocosmology Initiative
The current global crisis results from excessive complexity in organizing the contemporary epoch-making sociocultural processes. The latter (complexity) caused an unconscious, inexplicable, and thus poorly manageable reality; but which historically developed over the last centuries. First and foremost, all this is happening due to the prevailing cosmological insufficiency (from Ancient Greek κόσμος : the world as a whole, world order): that is both insufficiency of fundamental (starting from naturalistic, hence natural-scientific) comprehensive foundations and ultimate goals; and the corresponding coherent conceptual framework – for adequate scientific-philosophical outlook and effective scholarship. All this, in turn, naturally has led to a sharp imbalance in the functioning of modern science.
Concurrently, the genuine cultural potential and real scientific-cosmological, core intellectual (noetic) capabilities for resolving this grave (potentially threatening) crisis – this ‘lucky chance’ lies within the Organicist knowledge, as produced and represented chiefly within the Russian-language scientific and cultural tradition (though, to this day, largely lost to world culture). Here, in relation to civilizational theory : the BCA-scholars highlight the “Big Five” of Russian geniuses: N.Y. Danilevsky, K.N. Leontiev, V.I. Vernadsky, P.A. Sorokin, L.N. Gumilev. At the same time, the fundamental referential basis (the only one capable of serving the truly Organicist uniting of scientific and academic community) is Aristotle’s OrganonKosmology.
Ultimately, the Biocosmological Initiative is presented (for discussion) to the Congress: the latter embodies the essence of an urgent “Biocosmological U-Turn”; with an integral Triadological approach to the organization of the contemporary science; and with the resulting promotion of a real vector-path to realizing a Noospheric Virtuous (Good-will, of the World-peace) Humanity.

"Economic and political crises: yesterday, today and tomorrow"
The frightening word "crisis" as a term refers to absolutely all areas in the life of both society and a single person, as well as to some areas and forms of even nature itself, although, as a rule, it still has an anthropogenic cause. Scott Steinberg's book "Crisis is an Opportunity" is very popular. Moreover, in Chinese, the word "crisis" includes two hieroglyphs – opportunity and danger.
So what is a crisis that is present in all spheres and is reflected in different languages and scientific discourses?
When considering the Kondratiev waves, attention is immediately drawn to the fact that the crisis is present in all the "waves" and already contains in itself something that after a while will become the basis for growth and rebirth, that is, the crisis itself carries decline and danger, but at the same time it provides an opportunity to new growth and development. And this applies to everything – economics, politics, the social sphere, and even interpersonal relations.
Political and economic crises are constant and unchanging companions of a politically organized society, which is our society both globally and in terms of its individual structures and nationally oriented social organisms, such as countries and states. Throughout the history of mankind, political and economic crises represent a way out of the comfort zone, the return of which takes place through the realization of the opportunities and prospects that the crisis itself brings.
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, as expressions of the past, present, and future, also include regular periods of crisis, the overcoming of which contributes to the progressive development of society.

The intensification of global turbulence in the world, the creation of new poles of transnational development, and the expansion of cross-country integration ties actualize the transition to a multipolar model of the world order.
The construction of this model is a response to the global challenges of our time, threatening the sustainable development of human civilization, requires the development and scientific justification of promising areas of constructive international cooperation with the active involvement of all institutions of society.
Cooperation as a socio-economic institution has experience in inter-country cooperation within the framework of the International Cooperative Alliance, and acts as a specific instrument of "soft power" in the development of global economic relations. Cooperative diplomacy is based on the principles and values enshrined in the Declaration of Cooperative Identity, which are common to cooperatives around the world.
The uniqueness of Russian cooperation lies in the social priorities of its activities and the variety of types that form an integral cooperative sector of the economy, which has historically accumulated potential for effective participation in the formation of a multipolar world.
The section "Contribution of the corporate sector to the formation of a multipolar world" within the framework of the Globalistics 2025 Congress is intended to unite the efforts of representatives of the global academic and expert-analytical community related to solving the problems of developing the cooperative sector of the economy in a multipolar world. Scientists, government and public figures, and practitioners of cooperative organizations from different countries are invited to participate in the work of the section.

In the 21st century, in the process of transition to multipolarity, new characteristics of the global world are emerging and the dynamics of global political processes are accelerating.
The most important consequence of the acceleration of this dynamic is the gradual manifestation of a new configuration of the geopolitical landscape and the transformation of the global geopolitical space, a change in the balance of geopolitical forces and a shift in the center of gravity from West to East, which is the beginning of a new era of "seismic shifts" in global politics.
The research of young scientists, which is based on modern methodological approaches to the analysis of globalization, makes it possible to identify current problems of global political processes.
The purpose of the Round Table discussion of the results of the research work of graduate students is to identify and analyze new trends in the development of global political processes that will become a powerful catalyst for changes in the global political system.

Global history is a promising field of historical research that emerged at the end of the twentieth century in the wake of interest in the problems of globalization and the creation of concepts covering the history of mankind as a whole. New empirical methods of the late twentieth century and interdisciplinary synthesis have opened up the possibility to significantly expand the space of classical historiography.
Global history studies such processes as human settlement on the planet, the spread of technologies and cultures, the impact of climate on human history, the impact of human activity on natural processes, changes in human physiology as a biological species, the impact of epidemics on historical dynamics, the formation of universal social institutions, the growth of socio-cultural and economic interdependence of mankind, and much more.
Global history allows scientists of the planet to restore the picture of the unified past of mankind and reveal the logic of the world historical process.

The 6th International Symposium
“Big History and Global Evolution”
In the framework of the congress, the Eurasian Center for Big History & System Forecasting in collaboration with the Faculty of Global Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University is organizing the 6th International Symposium “Big History & Global Evolution”. The Symposium will be held mostly online, but in-person participation is also welcomed.
Big History is a relatively new field of study. It is a synthesis of disciplines from the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, one that seeks to explore overarching trends that stretch across all existence for 13.8 billion years, – based on the most current scholarly thinking. The definition adopted by the International Big History Association is as follows: “Big History is the attempt to understand, in a unified and interdisciplinary way, the history of the cosmos, earth, life and humanity.”
Similar to Big History, the macroevolutionary approach seeks to develop an inclusive view of the cosmos, earth, life and humanityby erasing boundaries between disciplines, and that is why we are organizing a symposium dealing with Big History and Global Evolution as a unified whole.
